AI can’t replace your thinking and creativity. But when used correctly, it can give you a boost in the right direction and maybe even save you some time. 

To get started, here are 20 AI prompts every professional should keep in their AI toolkit. These prompts can be used across multiple platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google Gemini. Simply copy and paste the prompt of your choice into the prompt box one of those sites, and replace the "insert" language with whatever info fulfills your AI request.

Research prompts 

• Create a table that outlines (insert ask for your chart). To organize your answers, label the x axis “(insert label)” and the y axis “(insert label)”

• Please summarize 5 to 7 key points from this article: (insert article or research study URL)

• Act like a (insert job role), and tell me (insert ask). Provide reasoning for each response. 

• Can you provide an overview of how [competitor name] is using advertising to reach their audience?

Presentation prompts 

• Help me prove (insert hypothesis). Provide reasoning and studies that help support your answer. 

• I need to write a presentation about (insert topic). Provide an outline that helps me prove (insert hypothesis) in 10 slides.

• I wrote a presentation that proves (insert topic). What 5 takeaways should I include in the executive summary?

Social media prompts 

• What are the current trending topics on [insert social media platform] in the (insert industry name) industry?

Administrative prompts
